What is Nutritional Therapy?

nutritionNutrition brings science into your employees’ lunch boxes or dinner plate. Dramatic effects on health, energy levels and concentration can be experienced through the knowledge of how different foods affect the personal system, and how to make the best personal choices about food intake.

This a type of complementary therapy. It helps with self-diagnosis and introduces possible dietary and lifestyle changes in order to help alleviate or prevent ailments and promote optimal health.

The on-site sessions focus on learning about different aspects of food and nutrition with a view to improving vitality throughout the day and balancing blood sugar levels.

Our Nutrition programmes

We deliver Nutrition sessions on-site.

All our Nutrition classes are

  • taught sessions, designed to be educational and interactive
  • offered on a class basis only
  • instructed by a fully qualified practitioner
  • scheduled as 90 minute sessions plus a break
  • bookable in advance bookable on an ad hoc basis as individual sessions are of benefit as stand alone units, however classes are arranged as a course of 6 interconnected sessions and participants who are able to attend regularly will enjoy the most benefit
  • suitable for all ages and fitness levels
  • available on a taster session basis
  • available to employees on an off-site basis at a discounted rate (subject to employer support where the employer has a programme of on-site massage sessions through UK Healthzone in place)

Personal preparation

As with all our classes and sessions, we request that all attendees complete our brief health questionnaire and take the opportunity to highlight and discuss any concerns with the practitioner in confidence before commencing any therapies. All records are held by UK Healthzone in strictest confidence and this personal health information is not made available to the employer.

These sessions are designed to support learning as it is taken into daily life, potentially with transformative effect. We suggest that this is a programme where employees may choose to share their personal experiences and achievements with other course participants.

Site requirements

As this is essentially a taught course, we prefer to run this programme in a separate room wherever possible. We believe this provides the best results, but are always happy to discuss alternative options.

Evaluation

We endeavour to tailor our courses to the needs of your employees attending them. However, we are always aware that our service to them is intrinsically linked to the needs of your organisation. We gather valuable observations about our services and their benefits through direct employee feedback. This helps us to maintain and develop the wellbeing programmes in which your organisation chooses to invest.
